Ginger Douglas
Starting drag on her 14th birthday, Ginger always had a passion for the fine art of Drag. She quickly learned how to connect with the community and her fundraising passions and drag career took off to a start.
Volunteering with organizations such as The Imperial Courts of the Rocky Mountain Empire, Susan G Coleman, Suicide Task force for the State of Colorado and CAP, Ginger quickly garnered her strengths and used them to compete and win both Miss Gay Pride of All Colorado (youth and adult) Titles. The roots for helping her community has not gone un-noticed. She has been given many awards including the Out Front Power Award for her tenacity, passion & commitment to the LGBTQ community.
From there, Ginger used her creativity and talent to create and host many shows including Baby Drag, The Ultimate Queen Contest, Dragutante and Apocalyptic Ball, a night of magic, mystery, and art in all forms- all to bring the unity in community for an annually EPIC AIDS Walk fundraiser. Ginger’s love for queer youth has never dwindled and she continues to volunteer for organizations that nurture and guide our next leaders. She hopes that one day, drag will be celebrated just as any sports ball, and she vows to continue to mentor, and uplift our future generations of drag leaders until they too are selling out stadiums and major arenas.
